After her graduation, Aisha Tyler worked for an advertising firm in San Francisco for a brief period before touring the country in pursuit of her career in comedy. She finally got a break in 1996, when she bagged small roles in television shows in Los Angeles, California.

Her television career really took off in 2001 as the host of 'Talk Soup' and the reality-dating series 'The Fifth Wheel'. After the end of 'Talk Soup' in the following year, Aisha Tyler began pursuing other interests taking up independent projects.

In the year 2002 she portrayed Mother Nature in Disney's 'The Santa Clause 2' and the The 'Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause' in 2006. She also appeared on the famous American sitcom 'Friends' in 2003 as Charlie Wheeler in nine episodes. In the year 2004 she appeared in thirteen episodes on 'CSI' {Crime Scene Investigation} as Mia Dickerson after replacing Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda); and in 2005 she appeared on '24' in seven of its episodes as Marianne Taylor. Then the first season of 'Ghost Whisperer' {2005-2006} followed wherein she portrayed the role of Andrea Moreno in 22 episodes.
